Aaaaaand another one.

This is the older version btw. New one should be good.

I think Mystic should issue a recall. I've seen too many broken hooks.

I have one for my GF, need to see if it is the new or the old hook, not that she jumps too much, or is that heavy, but still better be safe than sorry

Ridiculous that they seemingly have fixed the new ones without telling anyone that owns the original. When it comes to safety there really isn't any excuse.

What's the difference? Mine is 18 months old, so guess I have the old one! :-?

How do you know if you have the old one?
Imagine this happening when on a 10-15m jump....Christ
Would you die from a fall that high?

6 story building fall onto concrete has around 90 death rate. Below that are injuries yet falling on water might be a tad softer as well. Still you might drown.

The first one I had was equipped with a smooth closing system, was hard to get open with cold hands or gloves. Then the hook broke, and I got a new one under warranty. The hook looked the same, but the closing system had a ridge now, so you had more grip. That one broke again, and I got yet again a new one under warranty.

That new one has a 'bridge' that's fully welded, so that must mean Mystic is aware of possible breakage...

Anyone have both so we can see a picture side by side of the old and new?

That new weld will only stop the spreader bar ends compressing together. It still has the same welds onto the backing plate.

I got this spreader bar because everyone kept telling me to get it because of the wings, but I dont find the difference that great to make it a "must". It also cost 80% more than the next spreader bar!
