mixing Bars and Kites

Postby glfmkg » Thu May 27, 2021 9:39 pm

Hi All,

I got 2 Airrush Bars for my Airrush kites; however I'm looking into buying a new boosting 12m kite but most likely won't be Airrush. I wanted to know about bar and kite compatibility. What brands of kites can I safely buy that would work with a 2019 Airush Cleat Bar with low V equal line lengths bar?

Brands and models that I'm considering are - which ones would work well with my bar?:

- North Orbit
- Ozone Edge
- Naish Pivot
- Airrush Lift (I know this one would work ;-) )
- Duotone Rebel
- Core XR6 or 7
- Cabrinha Switchblade

Thanks in advance,
G.

All should be fine except the XR. Rebel may be iffy.

All kites should work except Duotone and Core which use high-V on their bars.
I already rode a Dice with low-V bar : it is not the same behaviour (more slack but less depower) and you have to change the lines lenght in this case.

The Duotone Click bar can be adjusted to work as a standard low V bar.

Using a Duotone high V bar with a different brand may impavt the kites flying performance.

I came here for the same question. I bough 2020 North Orbit Kite but cant find 2020 bar. So i'm wondering can i use 2020 Duotone Trust Bar with my Orbit. As i know Duotone was North before.

The Trust bar is a “high y” but the split height is pretty low. You could use it on “low v” kites without much issue. I have used it on some of my “low v” kites, and while the change was noticeable it was not objectionable.

I would still suggest getting another brand’s “low v” bar if only because I do not like the Trust bar.

:D
as others have mentioned it's in the y-split or v-split.
I think they all would work :D but u may need a ' duotone v-distributor(google this)' or something similar on Dtone, core at right height.
I run a Neo on Airush bar with this.
See below for lift which is high y
