Anybody knows how do I convert Core Sensor bar high Y to North orbit bar V?

Thank you!!
Cannot be done. The Core safety system also does not work well with most other kites.

I have a couple things made to convert a "low v" into something else.

If you want, I'll ship one for the cost of shipping...

It's probably a buck or two if you live in the USA, lower 48.

My f-one bars convert between high and low V as they make kites that are tuned for each.

Given pigtail adapters can be added to any set up, I always assumed that high vs low V was the only realy factor for compatibility (aside from perhaps special cases like core?)

Similar to the OP, I’m hoping to use my F-One bar with an Ocean Rodeo HL Flight once I buy it

Good thread
Kite brand & bar brand matching here

I'll take it on step further by saying that all my kites always had their own lines attached because I do not detach after session and re-attach for new session

For me one set-up is complete kite/ bar with match

Works for me...might not for others
Sure costs more $$$ but since kitesurfing is all I do for sport and ride on average 180 per year since 1999 it's worth it for me

I fly all my kites on sensor 3 bar of core.
Main reasons;
Low friction and smooth glide under any angle of the barstroke, no wear to the line.
Auto swiffel, relaible untwist front lines.
But bar is personal choice, anyway all bars can be mixed, with any kite;

It is important that, if exchange any bars, the lines are setup same length. The general rule is, with depower strap completely opened (max power) and bar fully pulled, all lines are then equal length, so check this first.
The high Y low V, etc, it is more of personal preference and small difference only, it should work on any kite. Were the high Y plice, gives a touch of pivotable steering and or power steering effect, less bar stroke tighter turn. Basically the Y point shifts left/right in air during steering, so 1 frontline will be straigthened = lengthened, opposite fromtline will be more angled = shorthened, this will introduce some twist in the LE. The higher the Y the more the effect.

I prefer the hi Y bar on all kites, as i like snappiest, tightest, lightest steering.

If your bar is ok, then you can fine tune each of your kites, and fine tune the right knots setting, distance at kite rear pigtale/line. A wide beach in 10-15knots wind. Strap max powered and bar pulled in, with kite overhead, the kite just almsots wants to back stall. (then it's your preference to put the knot) for foiling some back stall can be nice, for jumping just stay a bit away. You can then fine adjust with depower strap during kiting, your depower, to your liking for wind strength and your arms length.

Had ti fly couple of times my duotone evo with North bar. Kite goes Little bit into Wind window when you call it back After you streer It, so you have to manage a Little bit that phase.
A part of this, everything good

Yeah, mostly all bars can be mixed.

BUT Core is the only exemption from that rule I know of... Core has "Suspended Front line Safety", in essence that means it will only flag out one front line very little and from that point both frontlines.

It works with Core Kites up to ~12m, but from ~13,5m even core kites won't flag out fully. They are even still able to fly and relaunch when on safety. I know from experience... ;) And did more testing afterwards.

Core Kites are one of the very few kites that still use pulleys in bridles because of that - a kite without pulleys in bridle needs a lot more line to flag out.

So if you try to use Core Bar with other kites (or with a large Core Kite), do test it, preferable in high wind!

Core Kites work fine with other bars, though.

Yes I agree, they Y point on core bar, should be few meters further away for big kites. However, myself I mostly use smaller kites then 10m, so no issue for me.

Believe me, folks, people have all sorts of beliefs. Angels, horoscopes, life after death—you name it. Tremendous beliefs, really. And then you got kiteboarding. I mean, we're talking about kites and bars. Just sticks with holes and lines. Easy, right? But let me tell you, there's a thing called 'different' bars. Some bars have four equal lines, while others, they've got what they call a 'high Y'—which, let's be honest, is not that high. Okay?

So why these 'different' bars, you ask? Let me break it down for you. First, businesses want to sell their own bars. That's business, folks. They don't want you mixing and matching, using your old bar, no siree. Second, it's about safety line systems. This 'high Y' thing, it's got its own way. It's like a puzzle piece that fits, eliminates this knot situation. Safety first, they say. But here's the thing, it makes that safety line go long. We're talking real long.

And let me tell you, long safety lines don't need a part or parts that only lets them move in one direction. That's right.

And wait, there's more to the story. You see, while this 'high Y' safety line doesn't have any knots, it's also less prone to jamming in the chickenloop when QR is activated. You know, some of those 'short safety line' systems? They can sometimes get themselves all tangled up. Not a good scene, folks. But not so easily with the 'high Y' safety line, no sir.

But let's not forget, a decent 'short safety line' system can work well too. It's a good system, folks, and it's cleaner than the 'high Y' with that very long safety line.

But wait, there's more. There's a difference in the frontline backline length ratio between these two, you see? Both systems are calibrated similarly, and while front lines go either straight or with a bend, there will be a difference. Now, if that sounds a bit too complicated, don't worry. If you can't understand it and it's all just too much, let me tell you, it's best not to mix high Y and low V kites and bars. It's almost like mixing oil and water, folks. Not a good idea. So remember, keep it straight, keep it simple, and keep on kiteboarding. Thank you, everybody, thank you. You're fantastic.

Hey guys I have this dilemma;

I have a CORE XR7 12m Kite that I love.. and one Naish pheanix 9m that I like too... what I would like to have is just one bar for two kites.

I read somewhere that I could use the Naish bar I have with my CORE but not the CORE bar(Shame because I love my Core Bar) with my Naish Kites.

The thing is I dont like the Naish bar at all, below bar depower not for me and that swivel never works. So Im wondering if I can use core sensor 3 kite bar with my new naish phenix kite
