Board shorts?

I wear long pants at times and there are quite a few others who do too.
Why...
1. protection from the sun
2. some cuts and scrapes protection for those times riding in shallow water or reef

Don't care what is fashionable; Don't care what's cool.....just go kiting already

Love board shorts over the wetsuit. Pockets I can put 10m spare kiteline I need in case of hydro foil self rescue saves wear and tear on the wetsuit and while I don't particularly care for the look I can wear black so it doesn't look that bad

Boardies over wetsuits look awful but it's so useful to have 4 pickets. The fashion choice is to go with wetsuit no board shorts and that's why it's won out in the long run.

Drysuits are also really expensive and boardies can save you $500 to a thousand dollars by letting them last longer.

Always wearing boardshorts over my wetsuits. It's convenient because of pocket, where I keep my keys and soft water flask. Besides when I learned to kiteboard I was told that one should wear boardshorts to be on style and not to look like a seal.

that means wear those boardshorts over your wetsuit bra man... we can't have those perverted lady types at the beach ogling our sweet glutes and skinny jean legs in a tight fitting wetsuit....is disrespectful.

..especially in warm tropical waters.

One thing about board shorts (without wetsuit) and a waist harness. Double tie them so they don't slip down to your knees like mine did one time...

Also, I now use a Nitrous harness shorts, and wear board shorts plus UnderArmor compression shorts underneath to keep my "boys" in line and to prevent chafing.

You ever have the long blue Onfire shorts? Mine are probably in my attic
