They still haven’t found Victoria Pardo.
Very sad to read that. It must be really difficult for the family.

Why is it "unacceptable"?

Is there a specific reason it is deemed "unacceptable"?

Why is PPE considered the least effective method of risk reduction/control?

From which current control system used internationally does this question come from, including the USA? (bearing in mind many high risk activities will not utilise US standards in their theatre as they can be considered a "step back")

What other methods are considered more effective?

Some basics for you to start with?
Can you give us your take on this? Or do you only have questions without answers?

...

You can think of it however you want. If you view it as a "back up" then your judgement/decision making is already affected?

Point made.?

Back to square 1?

Why is PPE considered the least effective method of risk reduction?

What other methods are considered better?

There is no debate here. You either know and understand or you do not. This is the real basics!
Ya never answered my question :
Have you ever used a phone, to call someone, because you needed some
help, of , (Any kind) ?

That around the world , (Vendée Globe) race ; explain to me WHY ,every sailer in
that race, has a Personal Locator Beacon ?
Too Dumb to answer ; then i will tell you Why :
Because your an Idiot , if ya don't have one ; plus , i don't think
they allow anyone into the race, without the proper equipment (.)

Anything else Sarda ??? LOL

OK -- I'm heading out for a trip, to go Paragliding and flying my rigid wing
now , you Bet, i have my reserve parachutes repacked, and my SPOT locator
with fresh batterys ; also I'm tired of arguing with Stupid people . :bye:
See ya next week ; I'm about to enter the Fun Zone !!

Bille
Have you been on paragliding forum recently (or since you were laughed off it for being a complete and utter idiot in your own very peculiar way.) to view the many problems associated with current locator beacons/apps etc. and their use/misuse capabilities and limitations?

Good to go aren't you, all that security, you are Invincible?

Stop arguing with yourself?

Have fun!

PS. Are you aware of the capabilities and limitations of your reserve? You have history?
Did whoever do the repack follow the manufacturers guidelines and did they remember to remove the drawstring if its a round reserve and they used one?
Any safety notices, including the likely upcoming bonding one affecting a few Supair model containers? If you don't use the affected models maybe you could pass it on if you see a user (without being an idiot)?

Are you similarly "lost at sea" ?

Fairly certain all 40 000 or so colleagues of mine, sub contractors and clients know the exact answers to current minimum standard risk control questions. It appears from this forum that little has filtered down yet past assessment. Sad really as it applies from waking up and getting toast stuck in the toaster and using a knife to remove it. Insulated gloves is not the way forward!

"Your take"
Do you really believe we are equal on this subject?

imaginary colleagues
Anonymous at best. Are they 40k acrobats at Circque de Soleil or 40k fry cooks for McD? Maybe they are 40k bird watchers who hate kites? 40k imaginary friends is a lot keep track of. Mysterious that they must have thoughts on this missing kiteboarder but Sarda won't share what their thoughts might be?

You bet , i gave jakemoore, a Thanks for his last post !! :thumb:

OK - think about what Sarda , is proposing ; technology for PLB , is
worthless, and shouldn't even be considered . Now think about
the absolute , (TERROR) that poor 30-year old woman experienced, when
she first became aware that her life was gonna end ! :o Do you really
think she could'a cared less about what Sarda had to say, if there was
any chance , (any chance at All) that someone would'a come got
her outta that situation , if she had a PLB ?

I just , respectfully want kiters to Think about it ; there is technology
out there , you should consider, if ya kite in the open ocean .

I certainly believe you could have some insight that we all could learn from. So let's hear it! Thus far, you have only asked questions. If you can contribute..... well, it's definitely not contributing if you only pose questions as your answer to a challenge.

If you are afraid your answers will be challenged, don't be scared. Others challenging our views is how we test those views and grow.
