Great topic since kite gear takes up a lot of space. I also think it’s important that the gear is easily accessible to allow a quick pack and go.

I am just finishing my storage and have everything high up in the garage. My 4 boards sit on top of the concrete wall - there is a small ledge. Kites hang from bike storage hooks, and all my wet stuff hangs on a clothesline that can be lowered from one end. I put fixed loops and tied in hangars on the clothesline so everything stays separated and is easy to load and unload.

Here are a couple of pics. Soon I hope to get my car back in there!

Here are some ideas from my garage.
I attach two ropes with Pool Noddles (protection) and hang assembled foils upside down
S Hooks help me hang almost anything
Metal Shelving (Stainless, Good Quality - buy when onsale) allows me to hang all types of Sports gear
Tuperware Boxes to store Kite Bars, Pumps, etc.
I am currently designing a Summer Storage area near my dock.
It is a grass area but will put some type of permanent flooring down. I want the ceiling to be retractable when not in use. The storage area goals are for it to be weather protected and keep gear out of view.
