A 2018 Cabrinha Bar is compatible with a Duotone Kite?

Postby sickdog » Sun Jul 18, 2021 2:09 pm

Apart from the pigtails problem, there is any other issue I should be aware of? I will buy soon a few cabrinha bars, but lack of compatibility could be an issue, cause I do have cabrinha and duotone kites...

Thanks a lot for any opinion!

Both and single front flag out, so safety should be fine.

Only real issue is Cabrinha is a low V instead of a Y. You can use it, but I'm not sure how the different models fly. Some people say it makes 0 difference, others say it flies weird. I haven't tried it, so can't say. But you can get a spare part clickbar Y split that will fit pretty easily.

Yeah I guess the easier way is to put pigtails and give it a good test and see what happens... for sure it will fly ok for any beginner intermediate, but I wonder what would happen if I go a bit more advanced (kite loops? unhooked? even regular jumps?)

will post here after my test...

I’ve done it and it’s not great on neos. Canopy is way too open. The solution is the click bar splitter or to just use shorter lines. For me the max distance between the splitter and the kite is 16m before I start noticing differences in performance. Personally, I just use 16m lines and call it good without the splitter. I hate high y...
