1080 Rotation - Gui Kuhry

Postby FLandOBX » Sun Jul 18, 2021 9:39 pm

This isn't kiteboarding, but it's close enough to appreciate the priceless reaction from 12 year-old Gui Kuhry after landing the first ever 1080 in skateboard vert competition and becoming the youngest X-Games gold medalist in history (and beating legend, Tony Hawk, still pretty impressive at 53 years young). Go big or go home. :thumb:

You're right, taut. Guilty as charged. Thought we could all relate to that perfect feeling that comes after landing a trick that's hard as heck and that has eluded us for oh so long. Perfect...

Great performances are always welcome and I agree. For some reason, every time I have done a brand new trick it is as if it has opened a new pathway in my brain, where before could barely imagine how it would work, then I tried to figure out the movement, then trust it will work, try to put it into action, and once you land it, the brain goes..wwwoooaaahhh dude and then the stoke rush hits...so definitely relatable. Although if you cry in the water and no one sees it, are you really crying?
