Loss of Air at 2017 North Pump Hose Connection

Postby vela99 » Mon Jul 19, 2021 8:02 pm

Hi

When pumping up my 2017 North Neo at a certain point air starts to leak massively at the joint between the valve and the pump hose end.

This does not happen with my other 2017 North Neo meaning that the problem is not myself nor the pump.

When comparing I noticed in the leaking kite that the lighter blue plastic ring actually moves tilting (not rotating)

Is this a known problem and is there an easy fix? Just to note that I manage to pump up the kite by pressing the hose end against the valve preventing the plastic piece from tilting but with quite some extra effort.

Thanks a lot upfront for your responses.

Hi, pardon my insistence.

I really want to avoid a complete valve change.

Checked other posts and internet on valves but none I could find talked about the tilting. Also none of my kite friends and peers know about this issue.

Is my description of the problem maybe not clear enough? Maybe it is just a rare problem.
