Ozone Enduro - Aspect Ratio

Postby X-Fly » Wed Jul 21, 2021 5:53 pm

Hello,

I have several Enduro V2 kites (11/9/7) and today I measured the Aspect Ratio (A.R.) of the 7m & 9m kites.

A.R. = span²/area :
https://www.ikointl.com/blog/high-aspec ... -who-cares

For my both kites, I obtained that the Aspect Ratio is about equal to 4.22

This information is not avaible on the ozone website, except for the Enduro v3 which the flat AR is indicated as equal to 4.4 :
https://ozonekites.com/images/uploads/p ... 3-Info.pdf

So, it would mean that the shape of the Enduro has also changed from the v2 to the v3 model.

If you have one or several Enduro v3 kites, could you measure the span of one of your kites and precise the size of this kite too ?

Thanks in advance.

Have a good evening,

Xavier

Interesting. Anyone know how the v1 is vs the v2?

I love them, but for my use they probably would have been even better with slightly higher aspect ratio (in theory at least).

I will also prefer a higher aspect ratio, in particulary for the freestyle mode.

Out of interest how did you calculate the area of your Enduro V2s? You might see a difference if the kites are slightly under/over sized on the label? (note I don't remember seeing anyone laying a v2 on top of a v3 so they might well be identical sizes)

The Enduro V2 and V3 have identical bridling so I would be very surprised if they did not have identical planshapes.
