important step forward is the cleaning of the beaches, thx to the new mayor of the area!

But, if people stop leaving their garbage on the beach it would already a big step forward...

Been great time when you could drive directly at the lagoon, and park your car next to the kiting spot.

These times are over...police controls it and will fine you.

You have to park downwind, and walk to where you want to set up your kite.

Sad, but better for nature...too much garbage has been left at the beach. Say thanks to those idiots.

Toby if I got this right no more 4x4 parking on beach on upwind side of lagoon, however you can park on downwind side by barracas is that right? Hey if it helps the trash issue that's a good thing.Got to hand it to new mayor he is really trying to clean up the area more orange trash bins on side streets night and day cleaner lately. On another note not sure whsts the story but yesterday parking on main street through cumbuco was not permitted and transito was writing tickets is this a temporary or permanent change any clarification on this?

Of course you can park down at the barracas at Cauipe.

New parking ban on Cumbuco center main street is permanent.
They will start building a new road to pass the center. The center will be closed for car traffic!
Great project, and will give us village people less noise due to traffic.

More illegal buildings will be taken down.
Varandas restaurant has to break all down for example.
And can't wait til all illegal buildings on the centers beach has been taken down...giving free view to the ocean.

Cumbuco's future gonna be bright.

I did not know Varanda’s was illegally built, it did not seem to be cutting across a street or to be shoddily built. Shutting down the Main Street should be a good move, hopefully the grocery store (and other businesses) get a permit for trucks to make deliveries.

I honestly cannot get my head around anyone going to a beach and leaving stuff behind.

Many.

And the beach huts sell all the stuff and only take a part away...they need to get fined. When I have a chance to talk to the mayor, I will address that issue. Doesn't make sense to keep fining car drivers for not using their seat belt (own life, own responsibility) and not fine people trashing the nature (this affects others and nature).

The restaurants kitchen and service room are inside the property... But all parts outside are street. And anything build on street, also across the street the roof and sitting areas are all illegal.
