Lefkada fulfills this criteria. Highly recommended.

Directly onshore wind at Lefkada though (at the main beach and pretty shallow at the alternative beaches) as its thermal winds.
So for that reason, maybe Keros beach at Lemnos might be better? Nearest accommodation is basically tents though.
You'll need small kites to foil with if you go for Mykonos at the moment - at least judging by social media and Aaron/Lewis/Lenten.

North cost of Lefkada.
Lots of spots.
Main spot (which is ideal for accommodation close to the beach) can be wavy and a bit hectic, bit wild west but lots of space
With a car, there are loads of options nearby or 10mins over on the mainland.
Regular wind in August when I was there
Would definitely go back
FYI progression filmed their first foil lessons in Lefkada

Also there is Rhodes Island with the advantage that it has a bigger city than Lefkada. And also warmer (ok, this is a disadvantage for some people). But it is not close to mainland.

Mykonos is for partying not kiting.
And for Keros there is not easy accomodation close to the spot and also it is very nice in the summer with the north (meltemi) wind but I don't know about the rest of the season
