in gustier condition with maybe also lulls seams to be better higher aspect LEI kites as:
- Ozone Edge
- Duotone Rebel
- Core XR (also if it's not very high aspect)
being higher aspect gives them more wind range and more depower at the bar, then they normally go more further in the wind window this makes them less physical to control
I have a 10m Edge V10 and have very big wind range and really a lot of depower at the bar, some days ago I have tested for 3 hours a Core XR7 10m and it's very comfortable too, the difference I noted the most between the two is that with the Edge you control the gust with your body on the center lines, with the XR the gusts are more going onto the back lines so you can "discharge" them simply rapidly moving the bar, the Core XR is maybe a more comfortable ride(with little less performance and speed), easier, easy to jump, and a little faster to move, the Edge is much more stable, have probably more wind range and more depower at the bar, and more hangtime and if get skilled can get higher on jumps
never tried the Rebel but as the first two here is a benchmark, sure that also North is coming with Orbit and Reach
Switchblade is very physical especially in strong wind as is not high aspect, but still a benchmark kite
Where I kite is crazily gusty with lots of lulls too... sometimes I ask myself if is still kiting or more battling with elements
but it's very often windy so I love the spot!
