2 instead of 3 attachment points now at slightly different position.
More so on the 12&14m kites.
Basically kites are faster and bigger boosting now.

So to be real,
2015 pivot vs 2022 pivot
- same shape, same bridle (+optional adjustment), more durable, weight loss of 10-15%, different inflation
haha not at all. I think the kite has evolved quite dramatically.

You think? What exactly more has changed? I have the 2020 11m and I had the 2015 11m previously. Weighed in at 10 % less, quad Tex, diagonal seam, new inflate. Same shape and bridle, less Dacron on the trailing edge, higher psi recommendation (still pump my 2016 pivot just as hard). Am I missing something?
Sure they are better, but it seems more incremental rather than fundamentally different

Alright they are saying 17% weight cut on the new pivots.
I think it might be time to replace my 2016 9m now, considering the 8m to go with my 2020 11m, at 68-70 kg. Do you guys think that will be the right choice (or 9m) considering it's supposedly faster and sits more forward now? Also the new bridle settings might add some high end...
My plan is 11m up to 19-20 knots then 8m for 19-26 knots and add in the foil for the lowest end.

Get the 12 over the 11. Bar pressure is much more manageable and still has a wide wind range. The 11 needs a LOT of wind. I struggle to get going in 20knts of wind where I would be well powered on my old edge 9m at 82kg. I compared the two on the naish 2021 chat.
Edit..hmm maybe at 70kg go the 10 and 8 with a foil But try before you buy. If you like heavy bar pressure 11 is for you

I have the S26 Pivot 11m and have ridden it twice now. I also still have the 2020 11m and the 2019 11m. I will sell the 2019 and the 2020 will be used by my son. I also had the 11m of each generation Pivot before that.
The 2020 11m was my most used kite and I like it a lot. I have not experienced a difference with the S26 11m, but probably need to ride it side by side. Also right now I am riding with gloves which always gives me a different impression on the bar feel and in quite unstable winter weather conditions.
Bar pressure with the previous 11m was always medium, never high. Windrange for me (73 kg) has not changed. Normal sized TT (41cm wide) fun starts at around 15 knots and I use the 11m up to gusts into lower 20ies. When it is constant 20 knots I am on my 8m Pivot.
With a large TT I can go below 15 knots.
I used the bridle adjustment for higher wind on the S26 once and I think I felt the difference. The kite is a little less open then. I have not experienced any flapping on the wing tips whatsoever

I would go with the 8m. For me that is one of the best sizes, with the Pivot and in general. Especially at your weight. It will be spot on for that windrange. You can squeeze out a bit additional low end with 24m lines, in it is sweet spot the kite is great on 22m lines.
