I have always favoured lighter winds but have been going out in higher winds of late having purchased a kite for such conditions.
However, having recently been out in 20mph plus winds I have found myself having to edge far more than I’m use to and feeling some what over powered/uncomfortable as it were and decided that was enough and came in.
The board I use is excellent in light winds but I guess there’s a limit and I either need a smaller board, smaller kite or opt to use my Twin Tip for such occasions but haven’t used it in years.

I took my powdersurfer out this summer as there were too many weeds for a foil or even a surfboard with fins. Was surprised how well that worked, and how fun it is. I think just learning to control something different is what makes it enjoyable do I would not add fins to a skim for that reason.
