totally zero customer service replies from Mystic, why?

totally zero customer service replies from Mystic, why?

Hey there,

I have bought some Mystic equipment in these years, and they never reply to my information request, basically to know which things suit better me and to understand what to buy... why to be so bad?!

You have had a different experience or know how to get a reply?

From the other side perhaps Ion always replies!

This has been discussed before on the forum but unfortunately never improved, mystic never responds to anything.
In terms of contact and service one of the worst out there.

I love their harnesses, but it is one of those companies where you really would like to buy something else because of their customer service.

Normally I would never interact directly with the producer of anything but always with the shop selling it. (unless its a direct-sales company)
e.g. I would not ask samsung/sony/toyota/mercedes/whatever but go to one of their local shops/dealers where I would actually order the thing.

On a slightly unrelated note I do have some major issues with the durability of their products.
Just a few examples:
* Open palm mittens barely survived one season, will need to replace starting of the next cold season
* Impact vest zipper broke after 2 1/2 seasons
* Windstopper isn't looking healthy after one season at the velcro connections, will certainly need to be replaced by end of second season.
* Recall of the spreader bar only after a lot of public outcry (other then this no complaints about the stealth spreader)

I don't own much else from Mystic and based on my current experiences I won't be buying anything else from them where I can find alternatives.

For me customer service in this context also is about how Mystic communicates with their shops/dealers. Obviously I cannot know for certain who is to blame when that communication isn't working, as it could also be the shop, but there seems to be a trend there.

The recall doesn't seem to be done yet by the way. I guess I got to talk to my local shop here again about it. Might be them being slow now.

I have no idea what Mystic started out making? Wetsuits? Harnesses?

For me it isn't obvious that a company should be good at making both those things. Hardly any synergies between the two products. I really like their harnesses. The first one I had was in excellent condition when I sold it even after many years of use. My current one I just think is very very well made. It might be a bit lucky that the fit is so perfect for me of course, but to me that is a product made with intelligence - and except for the spreader bar issue the quality seems to be very very good.
