I have a 2018 11M Cabrinha Switchblade. There seems to be an air leak at the main valve. I have a two of the fixmykite self stick valves that are for newer Cabrinha's (one regular and one mega). I was going to use one of these to replace the existing one. When I pull the bladder out the old valve has Velcro on it to allow it to stick to the inside of the leading edge of the kite. My new fixmuykite self stick valves do not have such Velcro. Do I need a version of this valve with Velcro or can I somehow reuse the old Velcro, perhaps sticking it onto the new valve with glue? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Does anyone know if the Velcro is necessary on the main valve (to hold it to the leading edge) of a Cabrinha Switchblade? I was thinking I could use one of the stick on valves I already have (without the Velcro) to get the kite working again ASAP. Then perhaps add the old Velcro back when I can get a hold of some Aquaseal or Loctite.

Use double sided adhesive tape and hope it will hold until properly fixed...

I expect the velcro is there to protect the valve from being twisted on/off the bladder when you close or open it. I think it adds a lot of strength that way but maybe if you keep that in mind when opening and closing the valve and act accordingly you can use it without the velcro.
