We hope for wind soon so you can check it out!
In the meantime, this is how easy it is to upload GPS sessions (recorded on "Kite GPS") from your Garmin to the WOO app, as soon as your accounts are set up and connected (Garmin Connect IQ and WOO account, as described in link further up).
let me see if I understood it correctly. We can now leave our Woo sensor at home and record freeride sessions only using our Garmin watches. Big air sessions will keep requiring the sensor (of course
).
Thus, at least in theory, we can now record a session as big air (using the sensor) and freestyle (using the watch) at the same time, right?!
Yes, that is correct!
Freeride (GPS) sessions can be created and saved by only using your android/iOS Phone, your Apple Watch and, now NEW, your
Garmin Watch. For everything you want to be recorded that stretches beyond GPS, e.g. your jump height or your landing force, you will continue to need the WOO sensor.
And you are right, you can record a big air session using the sensor and a freeRIDE one using the watch at the same time. What you currently cannot do, but soon will be able to, is fuse those two sessions (like already possible with the apple watch + WOO). This will open up an array of exciting new possibilities.
This App, however, is the first
big step into the right direction and we are very proud of the work our developers have put into it and the results we can share.
If you want to try it out and see for yourself, we are happy to hear your feedback!
