I've had quite a few kites over the years, both pump and foil. I know kites very well, I use them both for tt and wave with surf, but also with hydrofoil.
it is not a big problem to pull 6-7 cm of depower to eliminate the back stal and I know that in very little wind it is worth doing it.
but when I am well fed it gives me a lot of annoyance to lose those 5-6 cm of depower especially when I am with tt.
with full power I initially feel that the wing has more pull on the trapeze, but as soon as I ask for power by pulling the bar I feel that the handling becomes hard and the loss of performance is clearly visible.
