Have a look at the latest development, taking sand out fo the lagoon will take months...with only 2 of 7 trucks working....

That will take a long time. I was on a job where I had 16 trucks I was loading.5 buckets per truck ,2 minute cycle time, and I was loading out for weeks! What they really need is a hydro dredge.

For those of us who have not had the pleasure of visiting your neck of the woods in Brazil, could you explain what is going on? Are the lagoons usually emptied of sand by people, or is there a natural cycle? In South Africa they depend on natural cycles to open the lagoons, hence the emptiness of Hermanus lagoon at the moment as the late spring rains forced the mouth of the lagoon open and it drained.

no, never gets emptied by humans.
normally during rainy season the water takes sand out (it's a river mouth actually).
But, the opening was moved to the top of the lagoon many years ago...so the natural circle was destroyed.
Now it only had 30% of water surface of what it used to be!

From what I understand, the whole part left of the street will be taken away. Plus the street as well, because it was only build to bring the sand away.

Currently the Tabuba lagoon is huge and still closed to the ocean:

I never undestood “crowded lagoon guys”
Maybe used to cross streets in NY or SP.
With an ocean so big, so clean…so near…
But…if it is just you and the girl…

If you have a certain level, you will understand the difference. It is a difference!

Let me put it into numbers: if I filmed on ocean only, I would have now maybe 3000 tricks filmed, instead of 7000....
And forget all the harder surface tricks like Barefoot Slides...
