I will post here updates on the latest developments in the Cauipe Lagoon in Cumbuco.
To start, no more cars are allowed on the lagoon. It will be controlled and tickets given.
As far as I understand correctly, you can still drop of your gear, and then park downwind where the huts are.

About time. This isnt a parking place.
They should also give a ticket for loud music and glass bottles around.

Water level is dropping fast.
If you plan to come to Cumbuco for just Cauipe sessions, I suggest to go to Taiba. It has lots of space.
Cauipe will be very small in about 1-2 weeks.
It will be a fight between riders and instructors pretty soon unfortunately, because students will be dropping into the rider sections. Very dangerous for everyone!

@Toby or anybody else - any info how's the size of Lagoa do Jegues (next to Lagoinha) ?
or, can we just assume that if Cauipe is shrinking, then all other lagoons in Ceara are shrinking too?

I don’t know.
But all lagoons are big during rainy season, and small during dry (windy) season.
But you can ask this lady or check her fotos, she has a kite school there:

I didn't checked on Lagoa do Jegue but I live 5km away from the Taiba Lagoon and it's huge now. Not just the front part of the lagoon but also the back part where people is starting to use and it's great to learn as well.
