The only time I went to Cumbuco, the lagoon was gone to sea after heavy rain.

It looks bigger, doesn’t it !

was it Cauipe or Tabuba/Icarai? Because normally this happens only there, not Cauipe

if you are doing a downwinder and need to get back to Cumbuco, the yellow buggies will wait for you on top of the lagoon (upwind), where they do lessons.

100 reals is pretty steep for a 5km trip. When you can go all of the way to Fortaleza for 40-50 in an uber.

And one quoted me 300 from Taiba!!!

Better to call an uber from the barracas or even pre-arrange an ordinary taxi to pick you up imo.

Uber does not drive to Cauipe.

Team up with people for a downwinder, or find people to share the ride…they can take 4 at a time, so will be 25 per person.

Regular taxi is possible, maybe like 80 R.

make sure to bring big kites these days, wind is around 15 knots. Bad November, as I predicted :-( La Ninja keeps her hands still above the wind in Ceara, and according to scientist will also next year...

Travel up North if you can to catch some more wind.

@ Toby,

1) How packed is the Cauipe lagoon at the moment ?. (are there less kiteboarders than other years, due to energy crisis in europe, and increase of cost of living world wide)
2) Are there any obstacles ( rocks, stones etc) in the Tabuba/ Icarai lagoon that are worth mentioning?.
3) how far up north do you think you have to travel for 18- 21 knots of wind ?.
