Totally agree. I’m more annoyed by how big pumps are, and by the fact that they are a “single point of failure”. What I really want is a micro pump I can leave stashed in the car for emergencies.
What really concerns me is that I have multiple boards and bars and kites and wings and foils. They're all for different uses but there's enough overlap that I have a spare of anything so I am never caught out. Most of those things can be repaired with a bit of duct tape.
I only have one pump. If that pump fails or I forget the pump or the adapter then I'm screwed. A spare micro pump would be great for emergency backup and travel. It would need to be compact enough to fit in the car in the spare tyre well with the other tools and emergency repair stuff.
