Core releases the new XLite 2 with CoreTex 2.0

Two years ago, CORE released its Specialized Series XLITE for dedicated foilers looking to accelerate their progression.
Since then, the company known for kiteboarding innovation released a foil, foilboard, foil specific bar, and now the XLITE 2 to create the ultimate foiling combo.

A foiler's kite.
The XLITE 2 answers the call for a dedicated, high-performance foil kite. A no-compromise, all in, one strut inflatable with features unique to the niche discipline of foiling. 30% lighter than the Nexus, the XLITE 2 drifts in virtually no wind and will stay in the sky even when pumping through a lull.

Proprietary dacron and canopy material give it an edge.
XLITE 2 leverages CORE's decade-long material innovation with its ExoTex Light frame and new CoreTex 2.0 canopy material.
ExoTex Light provides industry-leading frame stiffness, while CORE's proprietary canopy fabric adds more muscle. CORE's industry-leading triple ripstop canopy fabric is marginally lighter and features massively improved tear resistance, stiffness, and durability. The new coating process aids stability in higher winds -a big plus- for single strut kites. CoreTex 2.0 sets the standard in breaking strength, tear resistance, longevity, UV protection, and elongation.

Expanded line-up.
CORE added 2 and 3-meter sizes for slicing up the Gorge and a 13.5m for those super-light summer breezes. It's not easy to further shrink the XLITE 2, so CORE changed the bridle, panels, and shape to accommodate the new smaller sizes. The highly modified 2 and 3m exceeded CORE's expectations by delivering the same user experience as its larger siblings. On the other end, the new 13.5m is surprisingly agile and designed for the lightest of light wind days.

New look.
The kite designers have been in a colorful mood, and it's rubbed off on the XLITE 2. Also, two color options are now available – white or black. It may be tough to decide which
color to choose, but it will be easy to see your foiling progression accelerate with either color.

CORE's Sensor 3 Pro Foil bar completes the XLITE2.
SLE foil kites are sensitive to heavy kite lines that sag and affect steering. To maximize your XLITE 2's performance, we recommend our new Sensor 3 Pro Foil bar. It comes with a narrower all-carbon bar with hidden line winders, palmfriendly bar ends, and lines that are 20% thinner. Thinner lines reduce drag and improve water relaunching in marginal conditions. The foil bar comes with 22m Tectanium lines (16m+2m+4m) that are rated for 300+kg. Additional 3m extensions are found in the bar bag for those who prefer longer lines.

Now in stores.

I’m considering this kite for foiling in San Diego. I’m thinking of getting the 12 for 10-14 mph. Do you think this is a good size ? Or do you think the nexus 2 12m will be as good ?

And it's 1-strut!

Just thinking... why would the single strut on a 2-3m kite need to be inflatable. A pocket and a glass fiber batten should be just fine.
