It was shown in our national TV news right now - the drone shots, impressive :thumb:

When max it was 43 knots average wind, and close to 60 knots gusts, so a tad windy day here in DK

Is anybody else annoyed with the camerawork on these events, seems like the production team only has experience filming porn instead of kitesurfing competitions.

The cameras are always way too much zoomed in, I would rather see the rider zoomed out in a way that I could also see the angle of the kite in a kiteloop and also get a perspectiv on how high the jump was.

The other thing that was really annoing was that I missed some huge scoring tricks because they choosed to film a rider when it was trying to get back to the competition area instead of filming a rider that was speeding up and approaching a kicker.

Yea the production is kinda shit. Considering they had like ~2500 concurrent viewers, i hope that these event organizers wake up and put more effort into the livestreams.
Its a huge opportunity to bring the sport to more people and the sponsors should be more than happy to throw money at it, since there could be small banners and ads inbetween heats.

Someone was flying an amazing drone in those conditions, so I hope we see some footage from it.
YeH when I saw the drone I was so surprise in that wind. Amazing performance from that pilot….

No I don't pay, and of course its cool that we see these events for free.

But if nobody gives honest feedback then there wont be any improvements.

It was a great event, but it was super annoying when the commentator went nuts commentating an awesome trick, while the cameras were busy filming some dudes butt cheeks.

things will develop.

Unfortunately it is not like surfing, where 1 mio people or more are watching...then it makes sense to put more money into it.

Happy with whatever they can realize!

I've watched camera people try to film/shoot kiters before. Unless they're kiters themselves, they generally have no idea wtf they're doing. Even half the kiters I know that do photography take absolute shit pictures.

"Look at this awesome photo I got of you doing that trick!"
"Mate, it's a close up of my face. It's pretty epic you somehow managed to do it, but if you wanted to take a picture of me pulling some god awful face, I could've just done it on the beach and saved you the trouble."
