Agree with everything beforehand
I have bought and sold a bunch on iKitesurf over the last two years as I figure out what I like and sell what I don’t.
It’s got so bad it’s difficult to tell the market value of a kite
I’ve noticed that iKitesurf have removed some of the gear I’ve reported, but it’s not consistent.
I’ve also had some fun baiting scammers, but don’t really have the energy for it any more- there are so many of them
I also suggested to iKitesurf that they require one of the images to contain username and email address alongside the product on sale- that’s what I do with my classifieds.
It’s really successful on a motorcycle site I use- no email in photo with item- no post.
Recently I’ve had more success selling old gear on eBay, even though I have to charge more because of the fees (and buyer has to pay tax) - seems less people trust iKitesurf - a real shame.
It’s so bad I’m probably going to start buying new kites

Just keep sending iKitesurf emails to act on the pest. The more people tell them to clean up their act, the better the chances they actually act on it.

I want to buy a gently use 9 or 10m Core XR6 on IKitesurf, so I reached out to 6 sellers. I just asked if they accept PayPal. Received only one response saying that they only accept Zelle. I can’t believe how many scammers there are on IKitesurf!!!
It also means that you have to be careful pricing a used kite. You may think you have to price low because the scammers are listing low prices. So, how do you figure the going price???

I'm also a part of a country-wide wrist watch forum. They have very strict policies in terms of how long you need to be a member and how many posts you have to make before being able to sell stuff - on top of having an annual seller's fee. This seems to keep scammers out pretty well.
B.t.w. Paypal is a big no-no for personal transactions in the watch world. It might sound safe(er) for the buyer, but it's just as un-safe for the seller.
Long gone are days when I remember receiving 6 used kites before I even had time to send out a draft payment for these...
