About 1.5 million kiters in the world each spending about 2,000 per year 3 billion dollar business if we add 250,000 kiters in 5 years and prices go up by 5% that makes 368 million increase in sales
I can do this too. Pull numbers out of my ass and call it science

I heard the whole industry is only ~250m, that seems like an aggressive growth path...
Either way, growth is probably good because none of these companies have critical mass to start lowering prices...

Best litewave and switch? Jeez including the industry big hitters…
Reads like the article that gets put in front of the new Cabrinha board of investors to get them to dig deep and keep the money tree turned on

I would be extremely wary of any report that can't get the names of the companies correct and doesn't appear to have any sources for their knowledge.

Interesting. How many kiters are there? 2 million? That means if a new kite is 2k the average kiter buys a kite once every 15 years

BEST is a top company? How many BEST kites you you see on the beach and can you even buy new gear from them? More people will get into sport because they will see foilers racing in Olympics- I could not see more unattractive kiting branch, how someone will decide to try it?
That report is very very doubtful.

but I heard that kite is not really growing, but wing exploding...so the growth comes mainly from this...
