So for those tech people out there - am I reading this correctly?
According to the Ocean Rodeo website:
the
14.5m Flite A Series weighs in at 5.5lbs &
the new
HL Series Flite 14.5m weighs in at 2.8lbs
So they cut out almost 50% of the weight of the kite by using LESS ALUULA???
WTF?
Mc
Confused?

Ok so those are really impressive numbers (mix up aside) for the hl flite and the hl series in general. Significant lightening up from the previous gens of dacron flites which I consider light lei’s already for sure.
With prices more in line with standard construction
from some other “premium” brands I think OR is hitting the nail on the head with the hl’s (and if they ever go on sale I’d definitely upgrade my bigger flites to hl when its time. With a .5kg difference on my 14.5 d-series flite, yeah for sure).
14.5 Flite A 2.5kg $2699
14.5 Flite HL 2.8kg $2249
14.5 Flite D 3.3kg $1799
15 DLab Juice 3.07kg $3750
15 XR7 $2249
15 Edge $2055
15 Turbine $2056
Now whats up with the new shape on the flite hl? Hope its at least as awesome in turning reactivity and speed as the old ones haha!
