To my surprise one day, after a session I found that my 2018 Shinn Monk has delaminated on one end. Everyone I showed it to seems convinced it is due to manufacturing defect but sadly, Shinn has not responded to my requests for help. Anyone got experience of fixing this type of problem? Would a marine epoxy like West System G-Flex be worth a try?

Doesn’t look great but I’d think still mendable with epoxy, just need to get a good even clamp on both sides.

3 year old is hard to justify warranty... Shinn has a 2 year no quibble warranty if I remember. Bad luck for you that they delaminated too late for warranty claim!
Just epoxy the board, apply lots of pressure and be happy.
I had Shinn Dundee for 4 or 5 years, rode and jumped it a lot, eventually cracked at the step between the thin rail and the thick wood core, I was more than satisfied with the life I got for my money. Next I bought Speedball 16 and 18 on sale, been riding them a lot for 4 years, and DAMN they literally look like the day I bought them; they are noticeably less stiff than new but still very rideable and for the amount of use they got I'm more than happy. I'm 93Kg and ride hard.
p.s. that really looks like impact damage....

Mate, this isn't "delaminated' - this is "ripped out" by you continuing to ride despite the fact that your board's edge was already all fu%ed up. Water + speed = pressure. Pressure and laminates = no bueno.
If I was Mr.Shinn - I'd be nicely suggestion you as well to take a hike with your warranty claim.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I picked up some marine epoxy and will give it a go to see if I can get a little more life out of it.
Responding to a couple of comments:
- I didn't ask Shinn for a warranty replacement, just asked for some help, e.g. advise whether worth trying to glue it or whatever.
- Continued to ride => I really had no idea it had happened until I got out of the water. Don't think I hit anything during that session at least but there are a few little dings around the board for sure. Personally I have never seen a board go this way before but others I showed it to insist it "shouldn't happen". Anyway, as it is out of warranty it is somewhat moot either way.

Looks like wear and tear to me. With some lack of attending to small damage along the way, naking the problem worse than it would have been if attended to earlier.
Epoxy it back up and carry on.

nah mate,
this is a topsheet material, not possible to epoxy after delam.
How would anyone re-glue a sticky tape underneath that the surface would not be compromised?
also, WS GFelx is like honey, not possible to "spread" at all. It will create huge lumps.
if not done 100%, moisture will go in and it might break when under load. U do not want that. U need perfect setup with a vacuum pump to try fixing it. Or, use huge clamps and hope for the best.
good luck.

Wow, some wildly varying advice here
Well, I epoxied with G-Flex a few hours ago, hoping for the best but expecting the worst!
Thanks again for the feedback.

Hope you put a plastic bag between the wood and board or you will also epoxy the board to the wood. If npt carefully remove the wood now before its set and slap a plastic bag in between now.

Seriously, I'm not that dumb... *ahem*
I'm confident the plastic can be removed easily when cured tomorrow as there's only a little seepage at the edge.
