Looking for a new way to amp up your kitefoil and other favourite watersports sessions- without breaking the bank or buying a fancy new toy or device?

With the new KANARA Sport app you can track your kite and other favourite water sports sessions as well as connect, play and compete with other riders across the globe.

Developed by a young Valencian startup, KANARA Sportech, the app provides riders constantly improved and unified sports data analytics so that users can reliably measure and improve their on-water performance. The app also offers heatmaps for riders to review and share each session.

The app reminds riders to just have fun and enjoy doing what you love most; rewarding points for activity and introducing gamified features such as create-your-own 1-on-1 speed or distance challenges with your friends. You can also compete in the rankings with other riders from across the globe, or share your experiences with people who share your passion via the in app social feed.

The app is free and available for Android and iOS. Kiters and other watersports athletes can use their smartwatch or smartphone to log their sessions and the app is compatible with Garmin and Suunto. Apple watch and other device integrations are currently in development.

“We know that the community has different needs and preferences. We want to make it easier for riders to connect with one another- independent of the make or model of their hardware.”

Since launching the platform, KANARA Sportech- the developers of KANARA Sport- have also tested and demonstrated its event capabilities as the official app of the Formula Kite Spain Series 2021 in which competing riders take part in an innovative digital speed challenge.

The young team hopes to make the creation and promotion of water sports events and competitions more accessible, affordable and dynamic. By offering a digital platform that enables customised digital event and campaign capabilities, KANARA offers athletes, clubs, teams and brands a direct channel to engage with other members of the community.

The platform is under further development (in-house) as the team introduces new and improved features and functions such as sports filters, advanced sports data, spot info and dynamic heatmaps.

“Ultimately, our goal is to create the ultimate rider platform- connecting and empowering the community so that they can get the most out of doing what they love.”

“We’re just at the beginning of this journey and we have a lot of work ahead. With the feedback and support of the community, we can build something that helps us to do more together. That’s the real reward.”

To get the KANARA Sport app for the athletes, download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
