I am currently in Charleston SC visiting my daughter and will be heading to Gulfport/Biloxi area after Thanksgiving. Never been, but see there are numerous launch sites. Just looking for insight as to what sites would be the best, assuming there is wind.
1. Better to stay in Gulfport area or Biloxi?
2. I have tt and surfboard and kites 6-14. Any sites better than others?
3. Cautions or things to be aware of, other than don't kite in offshore wind?
Any input would be appreciated

Hey, I'm actually headed down there as well Dec 6th. Gulfport board sports web page has a listing of spots, I've tried what I think is Kelly ave beach near Shaggy's but the wind was super light when I went in may. I can't remember if there are any hazards at these spots, so I am also curious. Surfboard, foil, or your 14 seems to be what the ikitesurf forecast calls for lately, but hoping it picks up. For N, NE winds, there's a spot west of the bridge that's good for riding, by a casino.

Thanks. Always fun to try new areas. The wind forecast for next week doesn't look too promising, but you never know.

Found out Henderson pt is the spot! Did two foiling sessions yesterday and today. You have to trudge a ways out past the shallow markers, but it's a nice out of the way area with space to set up.

curious to hear from some locals. I travel here every few years to visit family. Beaches are nice, not busy, and nice sand. I think mainly the wind is offshore, from what I see.
