I used to think the same, but gotten so used to wearing a wet suit I really don't even think about it.
Tarifa is the only place I have found it slightly annoying. In SA it was never so warm that I got cooked on the beach, but in Tarifa it certainly can be. Dehydration kicks in etc.

I would love to go there. I couldn't imagine being at a KOTA event in person.
SA is on my kiteboard destination bucket list for sure, but I somewhat struggle with flying over The Caribbean to go to colder, more expensive, more crowded, and logistically more difficult kite destinations....
Brazil has to happen for me first!
