Hard to diagnose , as it’s hard to see under the Velcro. Would leak a little , and a leak a lot if I’m you torqued the valve when inflated

Welcome to the club.
Reos fly great, my best flying kites in many years, but I had to replace those valves in two diferente sizes last year. 6 and 8.
Also one of the valves that connects to the bladder for the same defect, not on the soft part of the bladder but on the hard plastic piece of the valve.
Hard to believe this failures in cheap plastic on such an expensive kite.
Anyway I ll stick to Reos, awesome flying kite for my taste.

Totally agree. They have a unique sharp feel .
But yeah it looks like a defect in the plastic , def not a delamination .

That all sounds like a quality control issue with different batches of valves. I ride Ozone for a while now and never had a problem with the valves. I ride my kites until they fall apart for good reason after a long and exciting life. ..

How did you fix this issue?
I got the same problem. I ride 5+7 REO II kites since 2014, and I've never had any issues with valves. But now both valves have started leaking at the same time

I got a new valve which was a stick on from fixmykite. It actually didn’t stick ( maybe old I don’t know ) . So I aqua sealed the new valve on . Works great now .
They also have whole pbladder kits for like 150$ which is good price , but annoying to do. Haven’t flown that reo on while since I got ufo .

Had that problem with "non sticking" stick-on valve, too. Seller told me I had to mechanically rub the bladder to remove a non sticking "top layer" some bladders have...
Really hated that. I had to remove the bladder again to try to fix it and ruined it completely (accident with a hot air blower I forgot was still hot)... My plan was, to stick it permanently with AquaSure glue, but that did not happen after I melted big part of bladder...
So I had to buy a new bladder. At least, they refunded the sticky valve, got the new bladder cheaper.
