Any suggestions for max carryon size, min weight, preferably backpack style luggage? Something like 9x14x22 inches and fairly square to maximize volume
Normally I can fit 5/7/9 into carryon plus laptop, warm weather clothes and few essentials, yet trying to fit maybe more

CabinMax do a big range of luggage. I've been using one for a couple of years now. Build quality seems fine. Price isn't horrendous. They are supposedly built around European sizes though so you might need to check for US carriers. Been fine on Easy Jet with mine a few times though and they are usually pretty tight on luggage restrictions (they have a cage at the check in gate that you have to fit your bag into or pay extra money).

Millimeters or centimeters? Although both seem oddly small for luggage.

I also have a CabinMax that I really like although I don't recall the exact measurements. I have used an actual kite bag as carry on luggage (although I don't think I have used them to carry an actual kite). One time I used one to carry a 27-inch LCD monitor.
I suspect it was over sized per airline regulations so there was probably some risk, but I don't think they are too picky on backpacks, unless perhaps they are huge.

I'm not sure about this exact size but I have flown with a kite backpack with a kite inside more than 30 times. If you don't have anything hard inside then you should be able to shove the bag inside measurement box they have in case you need to but I have never been asked to do it.

So I found one. Backpack style, No wheels. 22x14x9
Inches, some extra pockets for laptop etc.
Fits my 5/7/9 quiver, clothes, laptop and travel essentials
Instead of clothes/laptop I could have fit bars and the pump but those can be in the check-in

On the way back from PR, on Jan 26 I will take pictures and post them! Not the first time I’m doing that. I just was looking for a bag with squarer corners, flatter walls and more volume
