It appears that Woo changed back to the old classic mount instead of the enclosed case:

I have never used the classic mount but in the picture it kind of looks like two rubber bands are holding it in place? Since it is not enclosed I fear the contacts will degrade faster with more exposure to water and perhaps there is a higher risk in it falling out. This seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Classic mount is fine, just need to rinse out the Woo each session - much safer mount - I have never had one break, whereas all the enclosed mounts (many) I have used only last 1 or 2 sessions before the catch broke

I don't know what you do with your woo but I had 3 different ones over 2 years and never had the enclosed mount break

They tried to do a waterproof case to woo3 and they failed. Back to basics
I think woo3 case makes things only worse if you keep woo inside of it and there is also salt water inside, because they just leak. Woo with classic mount dries faster

Bs, they updated the case about two years ago and they are fine, not one single leak or failure happens with mine or my friends. You just always have to take it out.

I am not sure about the rest of you but I have resorted to cleaning or scraping the contacts to try to get mine to charge properly. It seem the contacts are a potential weak point in the design due to the potential for corrosion (and perhaps water ingress). Implementing contactless charging as used in some toothbrushes, watches, and phones might be a nice improvement.

Case is def not waterproof, have found my woo with water multiple times. Regarding the case and it opening by itself I experienced it once and since ride with extra rubber around the case preventing it from opening up! Works like a charm.
TBH I think WOO went back to the basics as the case was just too expensive and didnt do the job (too many people loosing their WOO and the case wasnt waterproof anyway).
The classic mount works as it should and makes sure you take your woo off after a session and cleanse it with tap water!

Does the WOO need to be dead center of the board? Mine is couple inches lower, do you think this will effect measurements?
