The reason is not a bag. It is a factory defect. I had 2 similar holes with brand new dtk kites out of the bag and never used. In 2021 dtk compensaited 5% and in 2022 it was 8% with sls kite. So be happy if you received 15% of compensation.
I suppose they tought guys sewing at Sri Lanka factory but those guys are not always accurate with fabric.

Was the kite in a sealed plastic bag also? If I opened up a new kite and had that I would send it back.
