Yeah. It isn't so strange. Clearly the competitive situation changed to Fortaleza as soon as KLM pulled out. Even when KLM were there TAP were a lot more expensive (at least all the times I checked).

Would like to know about the kitespot in jeri, is for more advanced since off shore and gust only? How are the conditions for jumping? I couldnt quite find good videos of the spot but it looks choppy.
If kite falls and cant relaunch is it the classic fish boat saves you for some reais?

When I was there I didn't see anyone kiting there other than some riders launching to go downwind.

Didn't try it myself so couldn't say if it is possible to have a decent session there. Might just be that people rather go to other spots with good wind and that it is possible - or the conditions might just be so bad there is no point.

Kiters drive upwind to Prea, or downwind towards Tatajuba.

There are transfers.

Some kite further west, but wind is offshore. Rescue? Didn’t see. But wind should carry you towards beach some km away…

You can kite on the other side as well - which is onshore, but boy some of those rocks. Didn't see anyone kiting there either other than people coming downwind from Prea.

Jeri is a brilliant place to stay, but it requires some organizing to get to spots. And when I was there surprisingly few kiters were based in Jeri. I'm definitely going again though - I just have to get a couple of those shots first.

Yes, westwards of the dunes. Someone just told me that dune doesn’t exist anymore…can’t believe it.

I booked my first month in jeri. Guess im going to be kiting alot less here but.. why not, if there is night life here then all is good. Will see about the spot and update, i dont mind riding alone i actually prefer buttt i would like to be rescued if needed in offshore wind.. kinda a death sentence without rescue.
I guess tatajuba and amontada will be where i finally return to kiting after this shit season in cabarete. Thanks for the info!

I am sure you will make kite friends easily, and combine transport to Prea and ride together. It's easy.
