Like previously said, best value for money is a used board. They last "forever" and 10 year old board is good for everything. Buy multiple used boards and maybe you know then better what you like

100% this. Kites get old you dont want a 10 year old kite. But it's perfectly fine having a 10 year old twintip.
The thing about twintips is that if you aren't picky just shop on ebay find one that is decent, used inexpensive buy it. The reason twintips get expensive is that at some point you develop a taste for boards and decide there's only one board you want (for me it's the Jaime SLS) then you end up spending $1000 without straps included.
I like the motion and drive a lot, but don't limit yourself to a particular brand, what you want is something old and cheap.
