My buddy just picked up a new 2022 Slingshot Celero as a backup for his 2020. I grabbed one also, love it!!!

I feel weird saying this but I have 2021, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11m pivots and all of them have one backup pivot of the same year and size I just love them soo much.

Planning to use them for the next 5 seasons, then might get new models if they still make them

Have an old quiver of Best TS and Cabo kites as my back ups to a slightly newer kites, and my foil kites. Selling a 7 year old kite, and I am a lot less hesitant to absolutely baby my kites, or don't lose sleep if i'm launching and landing in so so areas. I would never buy doubles of a quiver, financially that can be a burden unless I buy kites that are a few years old.

To compare the older kites to the newer kites, there is no comparison though and as someone has mentioned earlier. There is a certain fun in trying new kites and new tech. Kite bars though, I think i have way more than I know what to do with (maybe 4 of the same size, some have streched lines and just need some rehab, others are parts bars)

Lucky to be able to afford a new kite these days with ridiculous prices being charges let alone carry a spare!

Spare kites are a good idea if you know that a replacement will take a while to arrive. I started thinking about the number of spare kites that I have and it is a bit embarrassing. I think I am a kite hoarder. 😝
