Today is also the opening day of the Visit Qatar Kite Expo that runs through to the Sunday 26th June.
This afternoon the main stage at the Expo will host the official registration for the riders who will compete for the Big Air World Championship crown across three disciplines: twin-tip, strapless and hydrofoil.
