Just out of curiosity - dont everybody bring a spare pump?
When riding alone in particular, it is a must - it COULD get a defect (or just the hose, but then you cant surf)
Same as with a harness, I have a spare, as IF it fails, it will be on the most epic day for centuries.
Kites are not a problem - if it fails you take a smaller or bigger size.
Most important is not to miss a good kite day

Bit off topic: but no, I don’t bring a spare pump.
However, usually I am not going out by myself and loaning a pump usually isn’t a problem if needed.
Usually I do bring a spare bar but not a second harness.
Don’t bring a second harness but I am “only” foiling. Way less likely to suddenly break one than heavy twintip boosting.

never a spare pump for me. But I am also always with other kiters. Going out alone is never good.

but still better than not going out!
Typically always an old pump, spare harness and bar somewhere buried in the back of the van. If not for me, it's been useful for mates.

Yes, a spare pump is a good thing. Folks are always borrowing my electric pump and when the battery dies it’s fun to watch the look on their face when I hand them the old hand pump. But when traveling always spares for harness, bar, wetsuit, whatever. Also, a spare wetsuit is good for the second session when you really don’t want to put on a wet, cold suit from the early session.
Yes, I am spoiled and lazy. Thanks for noticing…

Thanks.
If this is a scam then it is probably the strangest one I have ever seen - to spend this kind of effort to scam a market as small as “kitepumps”.
I don't know about that... Several hundred thousand dollars for a few hours work making some videos and writing a half dozen eMails? It seems like a pretty successful scam to me. A couple of emails so people still think it's "real" and just "delayed." That way more dollars keep rolling in for what, five minutes more work?

Main point being if you wanted to scam someone this way - why not try something slightly more mainstream? Your hundred thousands would be millions.
I’m still confused about this product. The videos etc are so crap you think it is a scam while at the same time quite a few indications it is not.

You could argue that scamming something less mainstream and “only” a couple 100K won’t get as much police attention.
Also a few 100k gets you a very long way into retirement in some countries. Getting greedy usually is one of the big reasons thieves are caught.
Not saying they are scammers but the optics aren’t looking great. If it is a valid product they really messed up in their videos. Even just doing some uncut videos with kiters on a beach demoing the product would have been soooo much better.

Here is another one, supposedly startting bulk production right now
Looks much more legit, but not much different from what's on the market already
