Lot of red flags:
- Address of their office mentioned on the website is just the Wix office
- Use of an @hotmail.com email address
- Typos on the website ("Dimesin & weight" on the tech page of the website)
- Strange specs: type-C on the normal model and micro-usb on the pro model while the pro model has a way larger battery. Max power on micro-usb is way lower then on usb-c.
- Pro model with 12.000mAh only weights 720 grams. Sounds impossible.
- Pro model should be able to inflate tires. You need at least at least 50 psi to inflate tires, sounds impossible when the normal model does 'only' 15 psi
So many signs of a scam.
Agree for sure.
If you in fact had a working prototype, all you'd have to do is release a video of it actually pumping a 12m kite completely to 7psi in under 5 minutes and you'd be flooded with orders.
The specs just seem very far fetched. The safety on my credit card has been engaged.
How to lose all credibility in your target market...
(EDIT) Damn, the KF background doesn't clearly show the 6 lines connected to the kite...
(/EDIT)
Looks like a super rushed campaign. Adding LOTS of stuff, animations, kite logos and all that fluff, whereas concentrating on the product feature should be the sensible option.
Did anyone notice that the pump is engraved with "KOTA". Do they even know what it stands for?
Where is the Gauge to mesure PSI in the video…
I want to see if it reaches 8 PSI
Considering how accurate kite pump gauges are, this should be OK
In V2 they can introduce a bluetooth connection with a mobile app for setting the psi and personalized pressure profiles (for your particular kites and preferences, etc). V3 may have an integrated speaker. V4 an espresso machine...
