Interviews?

Postby JON MODICA » Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:16 am

1. Name someone in the industry you'd want to hear from (professional rider, designer...etc)
2. What questions would you ask them?

Mine-
Martin Vari
What were the best years in kiteboarding and why?

Robby Naish:
Was it good for the sport to focus on Unhooked Freestyle and not Big Air for so many years?

Bruno Legaignoux:
How/why did you create the inflatable leading edge (and what was the process to test, refine, design this completely new approach in the late 90's) ?

YES

But there is also a lot with him https://blog.manawa.com/outdoor-activit ... -kitesurf/

Also there is his full book, but is it in french, strange why nobody still translated this book.

It such important book for kitesurfing and still no translations to english, unbelievable!

It wasn't Robby who was focusing on unhooked freestyle, that's just the direction the sport developed initially due to its similarity to wakeboarding (I think).
Robby & Flash were the king of big air back then...probably still are...and on 2 line kites :o

I know, I am not blaming him, just would be interesting his opinion as a rider, former champ in windsurfing (and its development there), and company owner.
