Does anyone have experience with S26 Pivots in the 12m and 14m sizes?
Does Naish`s statement that they "have been redesigned for dramatically improved performance" hold up?
I am on 2015 Slingshot Rallys for 12m and 14m and they are getting near the end. Any comparison?
Twin tip rider on Lake Michigan. 175lbs
Thanks

Not AND. I have experience with the 12 Pivot. I have ridden it in quite a lot of different conditions. Love it for boosting. For playing around> I rode an old rally and this kite is better in every aspect..as in every aspect.....but comparing kites across several years might not be super fair.
I do not have much experience on the 14.
It seems to me that 12 would be more boosting and floaty, it feels very grunty and still the same great control on loops etc.

You can find some input about this here:

My comment in that thread was: "The current 12m and 14m Pivots (2022/S26) have an improved design with a focus on the issues which you mentioned. Those two bigger sizes where known for pulling very hard in the previous models and that has changed now.
I have used the S26 12 m Pivot of a friend and liked it a lot (I personally have the 11m and 8m). No issues with going upwind , easy on the arms, quite playful. ...."

Hello. I have a new s26 12qm and yes. there is a difference. you have less pressure on your hands. You have the feeling that the kite works better in the lower end. kite has big floating jumps but it's still 12 and that big cow in the air. Next time it will be 11 or just 10.

The 12&14 are higher aspect than the 11 and below.
Just make sure that you pump up the 12 to 8psi or above.
I'm 85kg and get going in 13 knots and up.
So you should get going in 11 and up with your weight.
It really comes good around 16-22 knots for me.
It does have good hangtime and goes upwind easy.
The main difference is that it gives you more vertical than horizontal lift compared to previous yrs models.
The pivot is a pretty versatile kite always has been. So you can't really go wrong.
