someone rode both AlphaV2 and Reach 2022 ?

Postby Archer77 » Sat Aug 06, 2022 3:22 pm

Hey there!

I'm getting mad to have a small comparative between this two kites!

I feel they have something in common also if one is a three struts and one single...

Any comparative would be very appreciated, in particular on:

- bar pressure
- low end
- stability and floating in the air
- turning speed

Thank You guys!
Best
❤️

Why do you seek to compare such different kites. I have flown the Reach it's an all around free ride kite and the Alpha is a single strut foiling kite very different beast.

I have a quiver of single struts and I only use them for foiling because that's what they do best. I also have a quiver of free ride kites for boosting. You won't find a single strut with the high end of a more free ride oriented kite and you won't find a free ride kite that will drift and stay in the air in light wind like the Alpha surely will.

thank you Windigo, I know this, but the AlphaV2 is very cross over on freeride, and the Reach '22 is recommended too for HF, so I was thinking that could be a point of contact between them with accent on the different disciplines, I have an AlphaV2 10m and is good on very light wind, and I have used too at 23 knots gusting to 26 on twintip without any big flaw in particular for a single strut, I was curious to know how someone have rode both rate the Reach vs the Alpha V2

perhaps, now North have come out with the Code Zero, but is more an hydrofoil specific kite (from what they say)

I'm a big one strut fan and I've considered the Reach as one of the few 3 strut kites to consider instead so I think this comparison is valid and I too would like to hear.

I've been looking to replace my LF Solo 12m for a couple years now and have tried a few other 12m kites and haven't had much luck.
