I simply remove all the tubes and use 1/8" spectra for depower rope. Then mound a cam cleat and line spreader for your depower/trimming. Pretty simple mod. I found a picture of a setup with a fireball release. It's the same spinner top as on the regular QR. You can see what I added. Here I used a old smaller Best bar. It doesn't really matter what bar you mount it on anyways. I thing you get the idea.

One of the 1/8 is is run into the other 1/8 to make a 1/4" single line leading to the cleat. The other one is a safety line running up to one of the front lines.

How are you able to get 1/8" inside 1/8" for that long of a length? What tool are you using? Thanks

For less than 100$ you can convert the Recoil to Trimlite
https://adventuresportsusa.com/products ... mplete-kit
You'd need to buy a Trimlite bungee safety line (it's shorter than the Recoil one), seems it's not included in the above kit.

And last, using your original adjustable pigtails you need to make all 4 lines equal length. That's it.

I use a pretty thin wire, folded up and push it up to the point where I need to grab the other tail and then pull it back into it. Not difficult. Cost a few bucks. Much better than the hidden line inside the tube that you can never see if it is wearing due to sand entry. Just my take. Easy conversion if you like DIY stuff.

And tell us about the line splitter block and the back of the clam cleat, what material and is it DIY?
