6 struts and 18

Can’t believe the difference. If you come to Brazil let’s pump together 😊
Not that much difference
Look

You pump 60 strokes in full mode moving 6.4L of air each time = 384L to fill your kite

I pump 45 strokes in full mode moving 5.8L of air each time = 261L
+
I pump 24 strokes in half mode moving 2.9L of air each time = 69.6L

Grand total = 330.6L to fill my kite 5 struts and 17

You did it with less strokes.. yes
60 vs 69
You moved more air ...yes

Let's say I was to pump my 17 all in full mode/ double action with your pump it would take less than 52 strokes

330.6 ÷ 6.4L = 51.6

Ha ha good thing my lines are always on
Time saver if we were to compete to see who gets in the water first

😉
Great calculation!

so the Aeolian and the Ride Engine Macro are both moving 6.4 liters of air per double stroke...

I believe I'm going to buy the Ride Engine...

Hilo pump advertised as a 6.4L ....the total amount of air moved from double action
Other pump makers advertise as 2.9L ...the total amount of air moved from single action
They could call their pump a 5.8L to make themselves look more impressive

So the difference between a 6.4L and a 5.8L is just a bit over 10% more volume per stroke
But when you look at the cost it is way over 10%

So yes a 6.4L makes you pump with less strokes
But not by much to justify such high cost

So a 5.8L might cost around $70
A 6.4L might cost around $130

Wow about 85% more expensive

Smaller pump 100...
I did the math and it adds up close to that 100

With 6.4L it takes you about 60 strokes full mode
384 L of air pushed into kite

Take the smaller pump (a 2.0) that is 4.0L in full mode
384L ÷ 4.0L = 96 strokes

Pull, the Ride Engine Macro is 3.2L X2 = 6.4 at 80$ the only advantage of the HiLo is that you can inflate also SUP with the 3rd stage, correct?

Hilo specs says that in single action mode for a kite it will push more air than just half of the cylinder's volume

It will push 4.3L and not 3.2L

So in that mode it is more efficient than other pumps

In the single mode for high pressure (SUP) it pushes 1.7L of air per stroke

The 3.2L Macro for $80 is priced very good
I'm glad they don't call it a 6.4L
😉

Also depending who you click on Google for info the Hilo is 6.4 or 6.5 L ...also in Gallons i see 1.6 & 1.4
1.4 would be Imperial and 1.6 US gal

Convert 1.6 US gallons into liters = 6.05 L
Convert 6.4L into US gallons = 1.69 G
Convert 6.5L into US gallons = 1.71 G

Convert 1.4 Imperial into liters = 6.36 L

All those numbers would be for double action / full mode

IMO, u guys are just looking at short term specs. Which pump offers replacement parts so that you can rebuild it in a yr, 2 yr, 3 yr, etc. I checked on the big, new SS pump a few days ago and no parts were available. I've been using the same WMFG pump for a few years. I just clean it and replace the seals every so often. Seems like a no brainer. Get the pump that has replacement parts. Just my 2 cents.

The BEST pump is the one you don´t need.
I love my Flysurfer Peaks for foiling

PS: I still wait to see an pumping expert on the beach using his super-duper SUP pump for his kite. Sooooo easy to pump up to 12BOOM.... PSI :bye:

I've used the wmfg 4.0...The 3.0 developed a crack between the handle that widened when you pushed down. This was likely a result from using at below freezing temps all winter, but the manufacturer sent a replacement after providing a picture.

They also upgraded the hose from the older version that was prone to developing a crack
