Great calculation!PullStrings wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 10:20 pmNot that much difference
Look
You pump 60 strokes in full mode moving 6.4L of air each time = 384L to fill your kite
I pump 45 strokes in full mode moving 5.8L of air each time = 261L
+
I pump 24 strokes in half mode moving 2.9L of air each time = 69.6L
Grand total = 330.6L to fill my kite 5 struts and 17
You did it with less strokes.. yes
60 vs 69
You moved more air ...yes
Let's say I was to pump my 17 all in full mode/ double action with your pump it would take less than 52 strokes
330.6 ÷ 6.4L = 51.6
Ha ha good thing my lines are always on
Time saver if we were to compete to see who gets in the water first
I did the math and it adds up close to that 100
Pull, the Ride Engine Macro is 3.2L X2 = 6.4 at 80$ the only advantage of the HiLo is that you can inflate also SUP with the 3rd stage, correct?PullStrings wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 10:43 pmHilo pump advertised as a 6.4L ....the total amount of air moved from double action
Other pump makers advertise as 2.9L ...the total amount of air moved from single action
They could call their pump a 5.8L to make themselves look more impressive
So the difference between a 6.4L and a 5.8L is just a bit over 10% more volume per stroke
But when you look at the cost it is way over 10%
So yes a 6.4L makes you pump with less strokes
But not by much to justify such high cost
So a 5.8L might cost around $70
A 6.4L might cost around $130
Wow about 85% more expensive
