Best Kite pump today?

Postby Archer77 » Thu Aug 11, 2022 5:49 pm

Hey there!

time to update the manual kite pump...
what's your best?
here are the 3 most innovative pumps that I have found up today
(the only one that speaks of No Strain pumping, so reduced friction, is the Core... but maybe the other two use the same high quality low friction components?)

spec here:

How are those pumps innovative? Those are pretty much the most basic pumps around and almost every pump on the market is just a derivation of one of them. I have the PKS and WFMG and while they work fine for the money (they break - but they are cheap and can be replaced or repaired), I wouldn't ever commend the performance of either of them or say they are differentiated in any meaningful way.

The best and most innovative pump on the market is the Aeolian.

The Ride Engine looks like a nice pump. Haven’t used it yet but I like the idea of the hose being attached to the pump body and not the handle.

The 'best' Pump, is the one that warms up your arms, during the first stages, then your legs during the final thrusts ! it also has a fitness meter, It's called the 'Can you hold a conversation while pumping up your kite' meter.

Hi StellaBlu is a kitesurf SuP mixed use pump... I didn't have considered them, more is the same as the Shinn HiLo pump

I might be wrong, but I highly doubt there is much difference between those standard pumps. Outsourced to some random factory in China making the same stuff.

You forgot to add the Scoprega GM 6 (it's the best! :D )

I like that the air "outlet" valve is attached to the pump body, not the handle. :thumb:

Da Yoda, I can't believe that you from the US are suggesting me a pump produced from a company placed 50km from where I live here in Italy... this pump should be really the best .. and here is even very cheap...

In any case, what do you consider the main good points about? have very low friction and very hi efficiency? is just 2,5 liters as a regular kite pump I see... but I'm very curious now

Havre I have used 2 times the Core XL pump of a school at my kite spot and was significantly better than my 5 years old regular Ozone pump ... far less friction, more air per stroke

I agree that many of this pumps are all the same pump made in China with a different logo on it, but maybe not all...
