Anyone used both of these kites care to comment? I'm thinking of replacing a 10m with a 9m and 11m now I'm entering into the world of foil alongside by usual TT. Was originally planning on Supermodel V3 but there are good offers right now on Pivot S26. Coming from Bandit 12 (2019) which is a great all-round kite but I wouldn't say no to something that boosts even better...!
Cheers,
Andrew

S27 Pivot should be available now or if not within a few weeks, so I guess there would be run-out models of S26 going cheap...
I have read some great reviews re: SM V3 but none comparing them to other kites of similar style. Unfortunately no-one sells them in my city but I will have a ride of one next week in Brasil, hopefully.

Reviving this thread to ask how is the hangtime on the supermodel? I’m coming from switchblades which I love excepts for the bar pressure when powered. Interested in the supermodel and pivot but don’t want to give up any hangtime. I tried the xr and like that it’s a little less physical to fly than the switchblade but don’t like that it loops so slowly and the hangtime is actually a little too much for my liking.
Any insights are appreciated,
Thanks

I had the chance to try the newest SM 2 weeks ago and you felt right at home coming from a Pivot. I only have the V25 - so I can’t comment on you V26 vs Sm3 directly but it felt like a improved V25 where so of the kinks were evened out. That’s all TT as I use different kites for foiling.
Jumps were good but hang time for sure not on par with my edges - but that’s also not what you expect.

Thanks,
How do you feel the jumping compares to other 3 strut all arounders? specifically the Evo if you can compare

I’m still torn between Pivot and Supermodel for my next kite. Great deals on S26 pivot right now but the S27 does look good with bridle adjustment - although I know I would just keep forgetting and taking it out on the wrong setting…

I don’t know the Evo but jumps were good for a 3strutter for sure. I typically don’t try that many kites as I love my edges and pivots (and the clouds just for foiling).

The S26 has the same option to adjust the bridle. The 2023 Pivot has an additional attachment point of the bridle at the LE which gives additional stability at the high end.

Yes that’s what I meant. Having said that the last kite I had with similar adjustment options I never used them. Slightly bothered by talk of lack of leading edge reinforcement in the S26 as I self launch and land sometimes.
