I doubt there is any difference in bar pressure on the smaller kites on my S26 compared to 2020. For me the bar pressure is light. It may be a weight thing as I feel the pivot increases bar pressure with wind strength but it may be more noticable for heavier riders who take the same kite in more wind

I think this could hold it's lighter bar in stronger winds. If you just look at the angle of the bridle. It is smaller in the elderly kites. The pully travels when you depower the kite, which means more towards the center of the kite. This means that the surface of the wing increases, which transfers the weight to the rear lines - the arms.

I personally never liked this pirate. Hawaii and a pirate don't go together for me. More Maori. Sorry

Indeed, Somali kite brand could use that design

S27 definitely kites through the gusts without as much tug on the bar as previously. So resting pressure no lighter but way easier on the shoulders than the s26 overall. Note finally flew the s25 10 yesterday for the first time. Wow that kite is good.

Can anyone confirm if the bar pressure has gotten lighter, especially when overpowered? I was considering switching to Reedins due to the bar pressure, but if they've made it lighter I'll probably stay with the Pivots.
I flew twice with the 8 meter in very gusty conditions and the bar pressure is definitely lighter without losing the control of the kite in loops etc. This version and the adjustments suprised me very positively.

That was my impression today on my new 8m in gusty conditions, 22-30 knots. I am not sure if the bar pressure is lighter, but the kite is significantly more stable in gusts and less reactive on the bar, meaning you do not get the bar pulled away from you. I also had the impression that it moves quicker to the edge of the wind window when you edge against it. I had the knot on the bridle on the factory, long setting. I felt quite a bit more comfortable on it compared to my S25 8m. Really a great improvement.

Maybe someone compared Pivot s27 and Dash s26 for unhooked freestyle?

My new Pivots (8/11m) came in on Tuesday. It looks like it’s going to be a windy weekend
Hey Dirk - Have you had a chance to ride the new Pivots? If so, how are you liking them? Any notable differences from the s26 or s25 models? Thanks.
